Anatomy of Natural Zen Movement's Body Language – Preface
Anatomy of Natural Zen Movement's Body
Language – Preface
The core concept of Natural Zen Movement is
to spontaneously activate the body's innate healing ability in a state of
complete relaxation. Any individual can practice, provided they wish to relax
and, guided by the autonomic nervous system, engage in a relaxed and natural
practice without forcing, expecting to learn graceful postures, skills, or even
display extraordinary abilities. Anyone wishing to relax, even people with
disabilities, amputees, blind individuals, people affected by polio, limb
injuries, major illnesses requiring hospitalization, or postoperative
conditions can engage in this practice. In the book "The Self-Healing
Method of Natural Zen," it's mentioned that during the exercise process,
if the body relaxes, the mind settles, and the spirit empties, the cells will
seek to regain their original perfect organizational structure and the
symbiotic relationships among other cells. In a relaxed state, because they no
longer need to cope with external factors, they can more easily sense the
invasion of foreign bodies and existing toxins within. In other words, when
cells feel discomfort or unease, they attempt to restore their original selves,
avoiding invasion by external substances that might harm their integrity. Once
these cells gather, more or larger power is required to rapidly eliminate
toxins or foreign bodies from the body.
Therefore, in a completely relaxed state,
any unresolved joints and areas must be forcibly expelled. Movements at this
time become more extensive and faster. However, this is entirely controlled by
cells, not by the brain, which has been influenced by too many external
signals. Only in a state of complete relaxation can these abilities be
manifested. Hence, excluding the surrounding energy fields (including air,
trace elements, tree species), practicing on level ground doesn't necessarily
differ from practicing on a mountain; individual practice isn't necessarily
inferior to group practice. However, generally, people still need assistance
from external energy fields. The cells are inspired by this principle of
whether the subconscious and the unconscious affect the subconscious, which is
why the master repeatedly emphasizes the principles of mind, body, and soul
correspondences.
During the process of natural movement,
various movements appear, with each individual having different movements due
to their unique physical condition. The so-called diverse body languages here
aren't isolated actions; they are interrelated in the so-called "a motion
with no lack of motion," intricately connected, constantly changing. This
is also what Teacher Huang calls "all-round exercise." All-round
exercise isn't limited to specific areas of movement, nor is it confined to active
or static movements. Instead, it varies according to internal body needs,
characterized by spontaneous movements that are constantly changing. Here, the
analysis is for convenience, focusing on the most evident body languages. It's
important to remember that these body languages don't exist in isolation but
are interconnected throughout the body. This book dissects the "Natural
Movement Language" and "Corrective Response," observed by the
Natural Zen Society. However, this ventures into the so-called body dynamics,
internal dynamics, cellular dynamics, and molecular dynamics. The Natural Zen
Society's statements are based entirely on the students' experiences and
observations, awaiting knowledgeable experts to conduct more in-depth research
and understanding. If this can benefit more people, it is a blessing for all.
