練自然禪的人在完全放鬆的情況下,常常會有一種釋放壓力的情緒,而大哭了起來。尤其到了森林裡的靈芝區更容易引發哭泣的情緒。有位漸凍人師姐多年無法哭泣流眼淚,到了靈芝區沒有人逼她,她自己練一練就哭了起來。本來不會哭,後來就哭了痛哭流涕,哭完之後偏頭痛好了,哭一哭好睡了。他為什麼會偏頭痛為什麼睡不著,漸凍的人左邊大腦,左大腦管統合神經言語神經。

此外,淚水除了滋潤眼角膜,讓眼睛變得清晰外,眼淚含有「溶菌酶」(Lysozyme,又譯溶解酶),這是是一個分子量14.4kDa,屬於人體的自我防衛系統的一部分。哭泣時,能破壞細菌的細胞壁,達到消滅病菌的作用。

In the practice of Natural Zen, individuals in a completely relaxed state often experience an emotional release, leading to bouts of heavy crying. This emotional release becomes even more common in the Lingzhi area within the forest. One senior practitioner, who was unable to cry or shed tears for many years, found herself shedding tears when she was in the Lingzhi area. No one pressured her, but she began to cry during her practice there. Initially incapable of crying, she later wept profusely. After crying, her migraine eased, and she could sleep well. Her migraines and sleep troubles were related to the left side of the brain in people affected by frozen syndromes, where the left hemisphere governs speech and integrated nerve function.

Studies have indicated that crying is a highly evolved human behavior. Similar to language, only humans have genuine crying. Therefore, the role of crying should not be underestimated. However, societal norms and environmental restrictions often prevent people from using crying as a means to release emotions fully. Crying associated with emotional contagion often involves the release of stress hormones and other toxins. Researchers have proven that tears shed during crying frequently wash away harmful substances within your nervous system. This process activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which is why people often feel significantly relieved after a good cry. It also leads to the release of hormones like oxytocin (also known as endorphins) from the posterior pituitary gland, which alleviates physical and emotional pain, offering a sense of tranquility and happiness. Crying can improve your mood, earn others' sympathy, and is a spontaneous act that activates the respiratory and circulatory systems, significantly aiding heart and lung systems' improvement, which can further enhance sleep quality. This is why many people have a restful sleep after a good cry, which aligns with effective breathing exercises utilized in treating asthma and bronchitis.

Additionally, aside from moisturizing the cornea and providing clearer eyesight, tears contain lysozyme, a bactericidal enzyme crucial to the body's self-defense system. When you cry, this enzyme breaks down bacterial cell walls, eliminating harmful bacteria.

Many research institutions in the United States have affirmed that women tend to live longer than men, potentially attributed to their ability to use crying as a means to alleviate internal pain. Within the Natural Zen community, practitioners are more likely to cry intensely under the Lingzhi tree, releasing emotions freely. Following a good cry, due to emotional relaxation, individuals often enjoy a sound sleep. The crying in Natural Zen is spontaneous and never becomes excessive. Once emotions have been fully relieved, the crying naturally stops. Particularly in one's final moments, a person experiencing complete and relaxed crying may rest peacefully without any strain on the lungs or respiratory system. As Natural Zen practitioners often have intense emotional outbursts, including crying, laughing, and shouting, the Natural Zen Association selects remote locations such as Xiao Qilan Jian'an as retreats, away from the general population, allowing members to cry, laugh, and shout as much as they need without disturbing others.
